Automation Service Specialist for cement technology equipment (ECS/ProcessExpert.-Optimization)

About the role

You will be responsible for servicing, engineering and supporting our projects and products for the cement and adjacent industries at our EMEA region.

You will be visiting the customers' plants for servicing them, with total availability for trips in Europe and North Africa.

To develop your daily work, you will be part of our region’s service execution team and will technically be supported by our global Fuller Automation organization.

Your home base will be the Fuller Technologies office in Madrid. From here you will be deployed to customer sites for erection supervision and commissioning of our equipment and solutions in the cement and adjacent industries.

Fuller technologies are used in all stages of production: From the raw mill, the kiln, to the cement mill and cement packing.

The role covers the Fuller Technologies /Automation portfolio in a cement plant – with special focus on software and hardware for our ECS/ProcessExpert system, our APC for process optimization as well as other software products for customer’s asset management and process optimization.

We are therefore looking for an experienced service execution specialist, with a strong technical understanding, who thrives in an international working environment, in which one will meet and work together with experienced and dedicated colleagues worldwide.

Your responsibilities

  • instruction and supervision of clients and contractors in relation to the erection of our equipment.
  • attend product training both, academic and on the job training.
  • installation, configuring and commissioning of our process optimization system PXP and/or other Advanced Process Control technologies.
  • installation, configuring and commissioning of our systems for customer’s assets management PDM, UptimeGo.
  • feedback and reporting on quality issues is an essential part of your job so we further improve our engineering.

What you bring

  • A relevant technical background from heavy industry, preferably cement.
  • A strong technical drive and understanding are required.
  • +3 years of experience in industry sector servicing: Products, equipment and machinery for industrial use, mechanical process equipment, software, advanced instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Experienced and skilled professional programming either machine control systems or large centralized control systems with underlying PLC´s and HMI´s and/or Advanced Process Control Systems
  • Knowledge and experience of the Cement Process would be applicable
  • Academy Profession or Engineering Degree in chemical/Process / Electrical / Automation or similar.
  • Being great at communicating technical matters.
  • You have a highly international mindset and cultural understanding.
  • You speak and write English fluently, other languages like Spanish, Italian, French, German, would be a strong advantage.
  • You call yourself a true traveler as you are expected to travel at least 150 days per year.
