Business analyst - Service/Thermal/AC

SUMMARY

Vertiv Service business is designed to provide full life-cycle service support for our customers and as such is a core part of the Vertiv market offering. On site activity is a crucial element of Vertiv Service organization around the world. Vertiv CE are doing hundreds of thousands visits every year to maintain the critical infrastructures devices supporting Vertiv Customer applications. 

Vertiv wants our technical competence and expertise to be a distinctive attribute of Vertiv Service and a source of competitive edge being able to optimize a unit, a site or a whole network. To do that the Services tools and applications used by our customers engineers are crucial to capture data in an efficient way to be analyzed by our experts and to provide recommendations to optimize every system or site

Low code applications are becoming a perfect solution to develop APP in Android, iOS or PWA platforms to deploy them around the globe and changing/adapting them quickly to fulfill customer expectations. Vertiv is looking for experts in Service business in the different technologies to be the reference at global level to capture the needs from the different regions and to convert those needs in the technical requirements to build the new forms. 

He / She will be part of an organization reporting to the Global Service Platform ,that is composed by

• Low Platform developers
• Data architect 
• Reporting programmers
• Product owners

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 

This position will report directly to the Global Services Data Collection Manager, who reports to Global Service Platforms organization. 

ESSENTIAL ROLE FUNCTIONS: 

• Work with architects, Low code platforms developers and product owner to design & implement appropriate technical solutions based on the FDD (functional design document) and TDD  (Technical design document)
• Work with the LOB representatives and Service regional SME to capture the technical needs to design and improve the new forms.
• Support the design low-level technical solutions using Mendix or similar application.
• Work with the technical writers to tag the technical documentations to be used as part of the form.
• Support the process to generate the documentation for each sprint

• Validate the form that has been program by the Low code platform developer.

   

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and put in place best practices to optimize development and test effort.

POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
Reporting Service business experts should have a specific background in Service Tools oriented to capture data during on site interventions in industries like, Utility, Telecom, Bank, Retail or any industry with thousands of sites and multiple technologies to be served, it is crucial to understand Low code platforms concept. 

In this kind of application, the human interface is crucial, and the solution needs to be oriented to minimize the effort and increase the efficiency of the onsite activity. 

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a Service organization focused on Critical infrastructure devices like Thermal or AC power.  
• Preferred, but not mandatory - Good understanding of the standard Service cycle, from L2-L5 project Services process
• Good understanding of the standard SW development cycle, and be familiar with tools like Rally to track progress. 
• Strong Communication skills and capabilities to stablish relationships with SME located in multiple locations
• Fluent English speaker, other languages as Italian, Spanish, French or German would be a benefit.
