About the role

We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing e-commerce fulfillment team in Europe. Based in the Netherlands, you’ll play a key role in shaping the success of DP World’s new e-commerce fulfillment product by driving new business and building long-term partnerships with small and mid-sized merchants.

As the frontline of our sales process, you will identify and qualify leads, build relationships, assess client needs, create customized proposals, and close deals that help our merchants grow. You’ll be supported by a global brand, cutting-edge technology, and a team that believes in innovation, ownership, and global impact.

 

How you will contribute

  • Drive new business growth by identifying, researching, and qualifying potential merchants across the e-commerce sector.

  • Convert inbound leads into qualified sales opportunities and ensure a healthy, growing sales pipeline.

  • Engage with prospects via outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, events, and digital channels to generate interest and educate them about DP World’s fulfillment services.

  • Understand each merchant’s fulfillment setup, assess compatibility with DP World’s solutions, and recommend tailored adjustments when needed.

  • Lead sales presentations, product demos, and collaborate with Onboarding Managers to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Manage and track all interactions in the CRM system, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

  • Consistently exceed monthly and annual targets through effective pipeline management and conversion.

  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to position DP World Fulfillment as a leading partner for e-commerce growth.

  • Represent DP World Fulfillment at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities, acting as a true brand ambassador.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our sales operations and customer experience

 

What you will bring

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development, preferably within logistics, fulfillment, or e-commerce services.

  • Proven track record of success in B2C or e-commerce sales, especially with small to mid-sized merchants.

  • Strong understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes, logistics operations, and the SME market landscape.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills — both in-person and over the phone.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., MS Dynamics, HubSpot) and data-driven pipeline management.

  • High energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up like dynamic environment.

  • Exceptional time management, organization, and accountability.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch or other European languages is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Experience in B2C fulfillment or logistics sales in the European market.

  • Strong network within the e-commerce or logistics community.
