A kind and caring first-time mom who is currently based in New York is seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to care for her infant daughter. The candidate will have their own private bedroom and bathroom next door to the baby. The schedule will be 24-hours, Sunday evening through Saturday morning, (two full days and one night off). After a short stay in New York the nanny will join mom and daughter as they travel to Europe where you will reside between Verbier, Switzerland and Milan, Italy, this will be a travel heavy role moving to different locations within Europe and the US. There will be certain times when the nanny will be required to drive between Milan and Verbier, so you must feel comfortable with this.
Mom wants to be involved and hands on, and is happy to accept advice and guidance from the nanny. This is an animal friendly household, and candidates must feel comfortable being around dogs.
Responsibilities
- All aspects of childcare for the child, including managing sleep and feeding schedules
- Handling baby laundry and maintaining organization of the baby's spaces
- Keeping on top of baby supplies, and making necessary purchases
- Creating an engaging environment and providing developmentally appropriate enrichment daily
- Researching classes and making sure the baby gets out for social and educational outings
- Packing for travel and planning outings in all locations
- Once the baby is ready offer mom advice on weaning, and be willing to prepare healthy, organic meals
Qualifications
- Warm, kind, and nurturing
- Willing to take direction
- Have a genuine love for children
- Professional and able to read the room
- Ability to go-with-the-flow while providing structure and consistency
- Clean and organized
- To have an understanding of French or Italian language
Requirements
- Must hold a European passport
- COVID vaccinated, and up to date on Flu/RSV/Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- Passport ready and willing to travel
- Up to date CPR/First Aid certified
- Mom is spontaneous and fun and would like the candidate to be like-minded
- This is a strictly GLUTEN-FREE household.
- Must have at least 7-years of experience
- Fluent English speaking
- Comfortable living and being around dogs
Salary and Benefits
- €6000 per month DOE
- Private en-suite room
- 4 weeks paid leave
