Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Onsite IT Support Engineer to join our IT Support & Service Delivery organization at our Budapest office. Nilfisk is going through a digital transformation, where we take an outside-in approach to eventually become a trusted business partner and a service provider of choice for our internal customers.
As part of our EMEA Onsite IT Support Services Team, you will be reporting to the Service Delivery Manager of the region. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our company's IT infrastructure, and will serve as our cornerstone of our operations. You will work closely with our employees, providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining our network and systems - all to ensure a seamless experience of our services.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support:
Provide onsite technical support to Nilfisk colleagues, addressing hardware and software-related issues on level 1 & 2.
Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
Assist with setting up and configuring new workstations and devices.
Ensure business continuity and enable productivity
Be the local window person between our global IT organization and supported business units.
Collaborate with the IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of onsite and remote resources.
Hardware Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance and updates on servers, workstations, and other IT equipment.
Diagnose and repair hardware issues, including PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs and equipment replacement.
Software Management:
Install, update, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security patches.
Assist with software license management and compliance.
Support end-users with software-related inquiries and issues.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference.
Create and update technical documentation and user guides as needed.
User Training:
Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices for IT equipment and software usage.
Assist with onboarding and orientation for new employees regarding IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as an Onsite IT Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Familiarity with network protocols, security, and administration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent English + an other European language is desired
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Certifications such as ITIL or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is a plus.
Physical ability to lift and move computer equipment when necessary.
Occasional travel may be required.
