We are currently looking for Legal Compliance Specialist of West EU , the details Job responsibilities as below:

👤 Who You Are:

Together with the GAC West Region team you will be building the GAC business from the ground up. The Legal Compliance Specialist of West EU is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, monitoring legal risks, and ensuring business operations align with EU and local Western European regulations. This role will support cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, after-sales, manufacturing, and supply chain functions. As a member of the West EU Team, you will report directly to the West EU regional GM.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

1  Regulatory Compliance Management

• Monitor and interpret EU and Western European automotive regulations

• Ensure compliance with vehicle type approval, safety, environmental, and consumer protection laws

• Support homologation and certification compliance processes

2 Commercial & Operational Legal Support

• Review and draft commercial contracts (distribution, dealership, fleet, procurement, service agreements)

• Provide legal support for marketing campaigns and promotional activities

• Ensure compliance with competition law and fair trading practices

3  Data Protection & ESG Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data privacy regulations

• Support ESG-related legal compliance (sustainability reporting, battery regulations, carbon targets, etc.)

• Advise on corporate governance and internal compliance policies

4  Risk Assessment & Internal Controls

• Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits

• Develop and implement compliance policies and internal procedures

• Deliver compliance training to internal stakeholders

5  Regulatory Liaison & Cross-Border Coordination

• Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and industry associations

• Coordinate legal matters across multiple European markets ( France & Benelux and pan Europe)

• Provide updates to headquarters on regulatory changes and compliance risks

💼 What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM)

• 3–6 years of legal or compliance experience, preferably in automotive, manufacturing, or regulated industries.

• Strong knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks and Western European legal environments.

• Familiarity with automotive regulations (type approval, product liability, recall management) preferred.

• Knowledge of EU competition law and commercial contract law.

• Fluent English required; additional European language(s) preferred.

• Flexible regarding frequent business travels in the West region.
