Salary Range: Based on experience, $24-$30 an hour.

Position Summary:

The Lubrication Technician is responsible for the proper lubrication and maintenance of all plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role includes conducting preventive maintenance inspections, collecting oil samples, managing lubrication schedules, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The Lubrication Technician plays a key role in minimizing equipment downtime, reducing wear, and extending asset life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine lubrication of machinery and equipment according to maintenance schedules and OEM specifications.
  • Inspect and monitor lubrication systems for proper operation and report abnormalities.
  • Collect oil samples for analysis and assist in interpreting oil analysis reports.
  • Maintain accurate lubrication records and update maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS).
  • Replace and maintain oil filters, grease fittings, and lubrication lines as needed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to lubrication systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lubrication tools, materials, and storage areas.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
  • 1–3 years of industrial maintenance or lubrication experience.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance tools (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) a plus.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of lubrication principles, oil analysis, and equipment maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with CMMS software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in hot, cold, or noisy industrial environments as required.


Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position; may require overtime, weekends, or on-call work depending on maintenance needs.
