Job Description:

Job Purpose

Aviation’s vision is to be the fuel and services partner of choice for our customers. We are redefining our business to become more customer-centric, higher performing and to play a key role in bp’s net-zero ambition.

Growing the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) business is central to Aviation’s strategy. Today, the SAF supply chain requires new areas of focus compared to the conventional jet fuel supply chain, such as identifying and tracking compliance needs and maintaining proof of sustainability (POS) and proof of compliance (POC) documentation for reporting and customer demand fulfilment purposes.

The primary purpose of this role is to enable the commercial optimization and functioning of the SAF supply chain, including expanding the SAF locations footprint across SEIMEA. The job holder will act as a regional focal point, connecting collaborators across ST&S (both Supply and CS&O), Aviation Commercial, Aviation Customers and in-country regulatory bodies to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable SAF operations.

Key Accountabilities

SAF Supply & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate SAF supply and logistics deliveries across Southern Europe, including scheduling, documentation, invoice handling, and communication with ST&S, Customers, and Commercial teams.
  • Track SAF stock movements and maintain accurate inputs for the SAF dashboard and mass balance reporting.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Coordinate SAF mandate compliance reporting to authorities in Southern Europe, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Support and coordinate ISCC annual audits and lead SAF new location entries for Aviation in SEMEA.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Act as SAF taskforce coordinator and lead cross-functional SAF squad calls.
  • Attend sub-regional meetings as the SAF Subject Matter Expert.
  • Work with ST&S to implement SAF-related sales and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate across Customers, Commercial, ST&S and other teams to shape tailored SAF customer offers and ensure frontline execution.

Supply–Demand Planning

  • Hold the regional SAF supply/demand balance and maintain a hopper of opportunities to support ongoing balancing of supply and demand.
  • Ensure systems, processes and ways of working for SAF operations are standardized and fit for purpose.

Commercial & Sustainability Integration

  • Find opportunities to optimize SAF supply-chain performance and improve logistics efficiency.
  • Contribute to bp’s sustainability goals by ensuring responsible and compliant SAF operations.

Job Holder Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
