The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a UK Sales Manager to join the business during a period of sustained growth. The role focuses on driving sales of interconnect solutions within the UK territory, working both directly with customers and through established distribution partners.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business, expanding market penetration, and managing a robust sales pipeline while acting as a key commercial and technical interface between customers, channel partners and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Build, manage and maintain an active sales pipeline to exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain up-to-date customer and opportunity records
Manage and optimise distributor and channel partner performance
Develop and execute regional sales strategies to increase market penetration and enter new markets
Identify new opportunities aligned with the company’s capabilities in encapsulation, moulding and cable design/manufacture
Promote new manufacturing and connector capabilities and support high-utilisation production planning
Deliver technical seminars, product presentations and customer demonstrations, independently and alongside partners
Monitor competitor activity, products and market positioning
Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, trends and customer requirements
Collaborate with other interconnect and marine business units to maximise commercial effectiveness
Identify non-standard sales opportunities and support complex solution selling
Develop detailed product and application knowledge across the interconnect portfolio
Undertake additional activities as required by regional business leadership
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
Background or exposure to maritime, subsea or industrial engineering environments preferred
Proven sales experience within a manufacturing or engineered products business
Knowledge of connector technology, particularly for harsh or subsea environments, is highly desirable
Experience working with defence and/or energy markets advantageous
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, from operational to senior stakeholder level
Confident delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences
Fluent English required; additional European languages beneficial
Goal-oriented, collaborative and comfortable with regular travel across the UK and Europe
