About the Role:
As Senior Finance Business Partner Commercial, you will act as a trusted business partner to our Executive Director Commercial Operations and to our Director Italy, combining analytical and financial depth with strong stakeholder management. You will support financial value creation across our core commercial levels while driving financial transparency, performance steering and long-term profitability in a fast-growing, data-driven e-commerce environment.
In this role you will have a controlling/FP&A responsibility in a functional line for the Commercial Operations department and secondly in a matrix structure for financially steering the Italian business. This role is very closely involved in commercial decision-making and offers high exposure to senior management.
About your tasks:
1.) Financial Analyst & Business Partnering – Commercial Operations
Act as Finance Business Partner to the Executive Director Commercial Operations, supporting strategic and operational decisions with robust financial forecasting and insights.
Category Management & Pricing. Support and impact the achievement of profitability targets across our business.
Support margin steering and ensure targets are realized for our 1P and 3P business.
Own and further develop our 360° margin framework as the single source of truth for value creation. Improving transparency across product, customer and channel profitability taking all contributions to the contribution margin into account.
Marketing. Support and impact achievement of marketing cost controlling and return on investment targets.
ROI, CLV-based performance measurement and assessments
Financial Planning orchestration, revisit and continuously improve how we do (financial) forecasting.
Marketing cost control and budget governance.
OwnBrands. drive financial steering for Own Brands, including margin development and long-term strategy.
2.) Business Partnering – Italy
Act as Finance Business Partner to the Director Italy, supporting country performance management and be part of the Country Management Team Italy.
Drive planning, forecasting and performance tracking for the Italian business
Challenge commercial initiatives with fact-based profitability analyses and scenario modelling
About you:
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
5+ years of experience as financial analyst in Controlling / FP&A in a commercial, e-commerce or consumer-oriented environment
Proven experience in senior business partnering, ideally with Commercial, Marketing or Country Management stakeholders. You are able to influence without authority
Strong understanding of customer economics (CLV, marketing ROI) and forecasting.
Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders.
Data affinity is key, strong Excel (Power Query) skills / data models
Structured, hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership
Fluent in English; German or Italian is a plus
