For one of our clients, a well-established financial institution based in Geneva, we are looking for a:
SENIOR ADVISORY PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Job description
Provide proactive investment advice to clients holding Active Advisory mandates, ensuring regular interactions and high-quality, tailored recommendations.
Monitor financial markets and client portfolios to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
Ensure portfolios remain aligned with the overall investment strategy, asset allocation framework, approved investment universe and internal guidelines.
Analyse portfolio performance, risk exposure and investment suitability in line with each client’s profile and objectives.
Prepare and present customised investment proposals for existing and prospective clients.
Contribute actively to investment meetings by sharing market views and actionable investment ideas.
Support the development of the client base towards Advisory mandates.
Oversee operational aspects such as order execution, account monitoring and reporting.
Ensure full compliance with internal policies as well as regulatory requirements.
Work closely with Relationship Managers and Wealth Management teams, including participation in client meetings as an investment specialist.
Required profile
University degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, CWMA or equivalent are highly desirable.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within Advisory and/or Portfolio Management in a Private Banking environment.
Strong expertise in global asset allocation across all major asset classes, including Cash & Treasury, Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives and derivatives.
Solid knowledge of investment solutions, including structured products.
Good understanding of key currencies (EUR and USD required; CHF and GBP are a plus).
Proven ability to work with banking IT platforms, including suitability and cross-border checks.
Sound knowledge of MiFID and FinSA regulatory frameworks.
Fluent in English; Spanish and/or Italian required. French or German is an advantage.
Swiss residency is mandatory.
