For one of our clients, a well-established financial institution based in Geneva, we are looking for a:

 

SENIOR ADVISORY PORTFOLIO MANAGER

 

Job description

  • Provide proactive investment advice to clients holding Active Advisory mandates, ensuring regular interactions and high-quality, tailored recommendations.
  • Monitor financial markets and client portfolios to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
  • Ensure portfolios remain aligned with the overall investment strategy, asset allocation framework, approved investment universe and internal guidelines.
  • Analyse portfolio performance, risk exposure and investment suitability in line with each client’s profile and objectives.
  • Prepare and present customised investment proposals for existing and prospective clients.
  • Contribute actively to investment meetings by sharing market views and actionable investment ideas.
  • Support the development of the client base towards Advisory mandates.
  • Oversee operational aspects such as order execution, account monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and Wealth Management teams, including participation in client meetings as an investment specialist.

 

Required profile

  • University degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, CWMA or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within Advisory and/or Portfolio Management in a Private Banking environment.
  • Strong expertise in global asset allocation across all major asset classes, including Cash & Treasury, Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives and derivatives.
  • Solid knowledge of investment solutions, including structured products.
  • Good understanding of key currencies (EUR and USD required; CHF and GBP are a plus).
  • Proven ability to work with banking IT platforms, including suitability and cross-border checks.
  • Sound knowledge of MiFID and FinSA regulatory frameworks.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish and/or Italian required. French or German is an advantage.
  • Swiss residency is mandatory.
