Your mission
We are looking for an experienced Senior Validation & Verification (V&V) Engineer (all genders) to join our Microliner aircraft development program. In this key technical role, you will lead and execute verification and validation activities to ensure that aircraft systems meet the applicable certification, performance, and safety requirements across the full lifecycle. You will work cross-functionally with propulsion and system engineering, certification, avionics, and test teams to help bring a clean-sheet electric aircraft from concept to certification and commercial operation.
Your Day-to-Day
- Define and lead the V&V strategy for aircraft systems and subsystems (including electric propulsion, energy storage, flight controls, avionics, etc.) in line with certification requirements (e.g., EASA CS-23, FAA Part 23, and emerging eAviation guidelines).
- Develop and manage system-level test plans, requirement traceability matrices, test cases, procedures, and compliance evidence throughout the development cycle.
- Drive the integration and verification process, from early development through to lab testing, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), ground testing, and later flight test campaigns.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements and verification evidence using our PLM tool 3D Experience.
- Lead system-level reviews and audits (PDR, CDR, TRR, V&V reviews) with internal teams and certification authorities.
- Ensure adherence to all engineering processes/standards.
Your profile
- Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering or related area.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in aerospace V&V, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role, preferably on electric or novel aircraft systems.
- Strong working knowledge of aviation certification standards (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254, CS-23/Part 23, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience in developing and executing V&V plans for integrated systems, particularly electric propulsion, energy systems, flight controls, and avionics.
- Proficiency with systems engineering and test management tools (e.g., 3DX, DOORS, Polarion, JIRA, MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW).
- Strong communication skills and experience leading technical teams and interfacing with regulatory authorities. Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English, other European language would be a plus.
- Positive thinking, “Can do” attitude and working nature characterized by self-initiative, solution orientation, eagerness to learn, grow and apply new skills.
- Passioned about aviation and electrification of aviation industry.
Why us?
About us
VÆRIDION is a fast-growing deep tech start-up based in Munich, Germany. Since the restrictions by law on CO2 emissions for domestic and short-haul air travel will stimulate Green Regional Air Mobility, we believe it's our mission to provide an aircraft for Zero emission regional flights.
At VÆRIDION our goal is to develop, build and certify a full electric microliner carrying up to 9 passengers for Short-Haul and Regional Air Mobility by 2030. A full electric microliner is cleaner and cheaper to operate than other aeroplanes in its class, it provides a better travel experience door to door up to 500 km. We offer new optimized design based on proven principles, around proven and available technology in electric motors and batteries, that brings lowest risk and shortest route to certification.
