The Solution Consultant Intern has a very central role in the planning, design and implementation of solutions using SAS Technologies to address business challenges. SAS is a leader in providing advanced solutions to areas like Risk and Fraud in several types of organizations including financial services like banking and insurance and also retail, manufacturing, healthcare government and more. A Solution Consultant Intern collaborates with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and translate them to technical solutions that support decision-making.

 

As a Functional/Solution intern, you might: 

 

  • Understand, implement, and communicate best practices and industry standards with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Assist in data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the development of predictive models and statistical analyses.
  • Collaborate with senior data scientists to extract insights and present findings.
  • Deliver targeted project results by applying specific SAS methodologies, projects and technologies
  • Apply the expertise you will gain to provide deep knowledge and experience with SAS Solutions including solution configuration, solution functionality and troubleshooting.
  • Map customer requirements and solution design to SAS solutions using different tools, techniques and interfaces.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed documentation, including requirements mapping to solutions, design specifications, use cases, strategies and user guides.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of SAS technologies, products, and solutions by participating in ongoing training and enablement activities. SAS provides a rich environment where a consultant’s career can evolve into various areas and roles, including Management and Project Management.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • You’re a student currently enrolled in the final year of a bachelors or masters degree program.
  • Target majors include all the STEM faculties, Computer Science, Engineering and Statistics and also Digital Technologies Management and Economics.
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal English is key.
  • You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.
  • Basic knowledge of Python, R, SQL or SAS is preferred.  
  • Fluent in English, plus one additional European language—preferably German, French, Italian, Romanian, or Spanish.

 

Location: Lisbon. Hybrid workplace model, combining office 2-3 days per week and remote working.

We do have a great office in Lisbon (Amoreiras) where you can work from which creates an inspiring working atmosphere.
