DescriptionTrevi SpA, for a Project in Spain, is looking for a:
Technical Manager
The selected candidate will provide support and assistance to Project activities regarding geotechnical and engineering aspects, proposing potential variations and/or optimizations to the original design and assessing their effectiveness.
Activities
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations in the workplace, according to applicable local legislation.
- Support Site Technical Managers and Site Managers in defining Project activities (methods and execution phases) to ensure the works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with and report to the headquarters’ Technical Office Department regarding any issues, anomalies, or changes occurring during the Project.
- Identify and define, during tender and/or design phases, alternative technical solutions for the execution of the various works of the Project, in collaboration with the Technical Office Department (during preliminary phases), the Site Technical Manager, the Site Manager, and, where applicable, the Construction Manager (after contract award).
- Work with the Technical Office during the construction design phase, following the acquisition of Project contracts, to prepare Method Statements related to specific activities and technologies of the Project.
- Manage and support the execution of trial fields and final acceptance tests, providing related reporting on the results obtained.
- Prepare and complete quality control forms.
- Participate in technical briefings with the General Contractor’s and/or Client’s designers to identify alternative solutions and/or optimizations.
- Provide technical assistance throughout project activities.
- Verify the effectiveness of the adopted design solutions and manage any non-conformities requiring design modifications.
- Prepare the end-of-project report, detailing any issues encountered during execution and the related solutions adopted, as well as the “As Built” drawings of the completed works, when required.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Advanced knowledge of technologies and work processes related to soil improvement and foundation works
- Strong expertise in defining alternative technical solutions for project execution
- Experience in providing technical assistance during Project activities
- Knowledge of professional software/applications related to the field (design, testing, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Quality Management System and main procedures of company functions
- Knowledge of major Italian and international regulations related to the construction sector (safety, environment, quality, etc.)
- Good knowledge of the Spanish language (B2)
