The Role: General Manager

As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of our Melrose Hill location. From leading a high-performing team to ensuring operational excellence, you’ll set the tone for professionalism, hospitality, and accountability. This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact as part of a growing brand.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Team Leadership: Build, train, and develop a strong FOH (Front of House) and BOH (Back of House) team.
  • Culture Keeper: Foster a warm, welcoming, and team-first culture rooted in hospitality.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure consistent food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and visual standards.
  • Scheduling & Financials: Effectively manage labor schedules to meet service needs and labor targets.
  • Inventory & Systems: Oversee inventory, ordering, cash handling, petty cash, and operational systems.
  • Guest Relations: Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and genuine care.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive operational improvements and create systems that enable consistency.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Leadership Team on performance reviews, coaching, and hiring.
  • Compliance: Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with LA County regulations.
  • Brand Representation: Embody and uphold Ggiata’s values and standards every single day.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 1–3+ years of restaurant management experience (fast casual or full service preferred).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams while developing future leaders.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent communication, organization, and accountability skills.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to stay solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for Hospitality: A genuine love for service, food, and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Dependable & Team-Driven: Reliable, punctual, coachable, and committed to a team-first approach.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
