Role Overview:

The Senior Director Total Rewards is the strategic Total Rewards partner for MVH International, covering MVH Europe and Rapid Growth Markets (RGM). The role is responsible for shaping and delivering competitive, equitable, and market-relevant compensation and benefits strategies that enable the business to attract, retain, and motivate talent across a diverse and complex international footprint.

This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise. It translates business priorities into practical Total Rewards solutions, ensures strong governance and compliance, and leads enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including the ongoing development of a global Job and Pay Framework and long-term benefits roadmaps

Role Context and Key Responsibilities:

Acting as a strategic Total Rewards partner, this role requires a strong understanding of business priorities, challenges, and the external market landscape. The role builds and maintains trusted relationships with General Managers, Presidents, and senior P&O and Finance leaders, while leading and developing a European team to deliver impact at scale. Success in this role depends on strong customer orientation, collaboration, and influencing skills, combined with the ability to anticipate the needs of the veterinary business and translate them into effective, value-adding Total Rewards solutions.

  • Lead the Total Rewards function across assigned countries in MVH International, delivering strategic solutions aligned with business objectives

  • Advise regional and local leadership on compensation, benefits, and wellness strategies, leveraging internal analytics and external benchmarks

  • Partner with the Business Units and key stakeholders on varies initiatives (incl. M&A projects)

  • Design, implement, and optimize global Total Rewards frameworks, governance processes, and agile solutions in a dynamic, fast-changing environment

  • Act as a subject matter expert on benefits strategy and execution; analyze and refine programs to enhance employee engagement and monitor ROI.

  • Provide data-driven insights and consultative guidance to support business decision-making

  • Partner with clients to establish short-, medium- and long-term total rewards priorities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Total Rewards related matters

  • Coordinate with COEs to ensure alignment, customization, and integration of Total Rewards solution

  • Ensure adherence to governance standards across all Total Rewards initiatives

  • Oversee third-party vendors and service providers, with ultimate accountability for outcomes and service quality

Education & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree  in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, or broader HR leadership roles

  • Demonstrated ability to operate strategically while delivering pragmatic, scalable solutions

  • Proven experience influencing senior leaders and working effectively across functions and geographies

  •  Strong understanding of global compensation and benefits practices and regulatory environments

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences

  • High level of cultural awareness and experience working in international, matrixed organizations

  • Strong alignment with Mars, Incorporated’s culture, Five Principles, and ways of working

  • Experience in healthcare-related sectors (veterinary, human health, pharmaceuticals) is preferred
