Are you passionate about Italian cuisine and eager to showcase your culinary talents? Toscana Little Italy, a renowned neighborhood Italian restaurant, is looking for a dedicated Sauté/Sauce Chef to join our exceptional team.
Job Responsibilities:
· Stock ingredients, Prepare and cook a variety of sautéed dishes and sauces with precision and excellence
· Ensure the highest quality and consistency in every dish served
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient operation
· Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
· Learn other positions on the line and be able to execute recipes and preparation as directed.
· Able to lift at least 25 lbs and comfortable with prolonged standing
Qualifications:
· Experience in scratch kitchens, Italian cuisine is preferred, but not required
· Excellent knife skills and proficiency in culinary techniques
· Strong organizational and discipline skills
· Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks
· Reliable transportation to and from work
· Availability for advancement within the restaurant
· Servsafe food handler or managers license or other Fl approved certification
