Pay:  $21.75 – $22.50

In this role, you will help with daily safety tasks, maintain records, assist with basic training activities, and provide first aid support when needed. This position plays a key role in helping ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

This position will be primarily responsible for:

  • Assist with daily safety walkthroughs and help document observations.
  • Support incident reporting by gathering information and maintaining records.
  • Help prepare materials for safety training sessions and assist with setup.
  • Provide basic first aid support and help refer employees to medical providers when necessary.
  • Maintain safety-related supplies and ensure first aid kits are stocked.
  • Help with data entry and maintain logs for safety activities and shift reports.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation documentation and return-to-work tracking under supervision.
  • Support reasonable suspicion drug testing procedures as directed by the Safety Manager.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized safety office and supply area.
  • Assist with emergency response efforts and help communicate procedures during incidents.
  • Participate in CPR, First Aid, and AED training and maintain certifications as required.
  • Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CPR / First Aid / AED or BLS certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Familiarity with Cal/OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation

Physical Requirements:

Moderate lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 25% or more sitting, 75% or less walking, and 75% or more standing. The job is performed under moderate temperature variations and in a cannery environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required. Work in an environment where the noise level varies. Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
