Senior Director Freight Strategy & Operations – West Europe

About the role

This is a high-impact leadership position in a fast-paced, international business environment. 

You’ll be responsible for translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes across multiple operating companies. Your leadership will directly influence cost efficiency, service reliability, compliance, and sustainable growth. You’ll engage with regional and global leadership, navigate cross-functional teams, and drive transformation. This role is critical to ensuring DP World’s freight operations in West Europe remain agile, competitive, and future-ready. This role has it's base in Paris preferrably, but can also be located working from Rotterdam. 

• Act as strategic and operational partner to the SVP Freight Forwarding West Europe.
• Represent and deputize for the SVP in strategic projects, governance forums, and external engagements.
• Oversee daily freight operations across import/export, customs, NVOCC, and road brokerage.
• Lead post-acquisition integration efforts and deliver synergy targets.
• Drive digital adoption and process innovation across the cluster.
• Ensure compliance with trade, transport, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with country managers, commercial teams, and global stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a high-performing, cross-functional team.

What you will bring

• Master’s degree in business, Logistics, Economics, or related field.
• 10–15 years of senior leadership experience in a global, complex organization.
• Proven success in strategy execution, operational leadership, and change management.
• Deep expertise in freight forwarding, M&A integration, and trade compliance.
• Profound knowledge of the Freight communicaty in West Europe.
